When talking to Malaysians about the durian, this would come to mind:
It has quite a following on Malaysians. the texture, the smell, the taste, it is definitely an iconic fruit to be hold.
Interestingly enough, there's another kind of durian, despite the name is not the kind of durian as iconic as the the durian.
The Durian Belanda.
Actually, it's the soursop. Why, or how it got translated into Durian Belanda is something I never quite understood. Mainly because Durian Belanda literally means Dutch Durian.
